Round Table Debate
“What Do the Citizen Get with the New Law on Health Care”

In the series of Round table debates on the reform of the Public Health Sector in Serbia, supported by the Open Society Institute, PALGO Center organized public discussion entitled “What Do the Citizen Get with the New Law on Health Care”. The event took place in Hotel Palace in Belgrade, on Thursday June 23rd.

In discussion on the Draft Law on Health Care, which is proposed by the Government of Serbia and currently pending in the National Assembly, following prominent experts took part:

  • On behalf of the Ministry of Health, which prepared the Draft law on Health Care, the speakers were Dr. Nevena Karanovic, Deputy Minister of Health, Prof. Dr. Snežana Simic, Assistant Minister of Health in the Sector for Health Policy and Planning, and Dr. Zorana Dinic, Assistant Minister of Health in the Sector  for Cooperation with the Private Sector.
  • Dr. Hajrija Mujovic-Zornic, Secretary General of the Association for the  Medical Law
  • Dr. Zoran Stamatovic, President of the Association of the Stomatologists
  • Prof. Pr Višeslav Hadži-Tanovic, President of the Private Chamber of Doctors.
