November 20 -21 in Sava Center in Belgrade
The conference on the perspectives of social housing in Serbia was organized by the Republic Agency for Spatial Planning, Town Planning Institute of Belgrade and PALGO Center with the support of Group 484, ComPRess Belgrade and Department MA50 of the City of Vienna.
The morning session of the conference was dedicated to the success of the City of Vienna in this field. Mr. Wolfgang Förster, Director of MA50, Department for Housing Research and International Relations of the City of Vienna has lectured on most relevant experiences from the City of Vienna.
The afternoon session was focused on possible directions that the public housing sector in Serbia can embark on, also on building the institutional framework and adequate legislation. A presentation was dedicated to the experience accumulated by Municipal Housing Agencies throughout Serbia, and on recommendations that can be used for the Study on Social Housing in Belgrade, presently in preparation.
