PPP Study Tour to Slovenia
for State, Local Government and Media Representatives from Serbia

In parallel to the project “Improvement of Public Service Provision through Private Sector Participation”, PALGO Center will co-organize, with Oikos Development Consulting Ltd. from Slovenia, a study tour to Slovenia.
Participants from Serbia will have the opportunity to go to Slovenia and get acquainted with the development of practice of introducing private partners in PPP arrangements with the aim of improving the quality of public services provision and thus creating a better quality of life for the citizens. The beneficiaries of the study tour will be the representatives of the State administration, local self-government, City of Belgrade, various public utility companies, and the media.
The overall objective of this study tour is to assist the relevant stakeholders to get to know better the idea of establishing PPP arrangements by seeing the results that have been made and learning from Slovenian experience in that respect. More particularly, participants of the study tour will have the opportunity to understand processes that lead to establishing PPP arrangements (methods, tools, procedures, potential impediments) and have a first-hand experience of the results achieved and the benefits for the local community.
